Oct. 1st, 2003 06:43 amOne more month shot to hell.
I had vague hopes of attending MileHighCon just so I could natter with Mishalak. But, it's too close to my aunt's birthday and my sister and cousin will be in town. Birthdays tend to be times of stress, and I'm uncertain how my aunt will do through it. The nerves to her lungs are dying, and she does not want to go on a ventilator.
Last night when I swung past Jones-Harrison to deliver the bank statements from cashing the US Savings Bonds, Stan and Birdie were there. Stan had picked out a spot at the new Lakewood Mausoleum for her ashes. (It's nice to have your personal designer do things like that for you...) Stan has lived across the commons from my aunt for mumble years. They're extremely close. Stan picked the spot, Sandy agreed, and I wrote the check. True to form, I spelled it "Lake Wood" and "Cemetary" on the check. Birdie ustta live with Sandy when she moved into the GV townhouse (now sold) in the long ago.
