After new years, I always want to mix up a second big batch of chex mix. I don't follow the recipe, but I like the salty fishy tamarind garlic taste that I end up. On the other hand, if it's around, I eat it. Tonight, I succumbed and put a big batch on two sheet pans in the oven. It's toasting as I type. The timer goes off every fifteen minutes so I have to go down and stir it around and spin the sheet pans. The next rotation, I should switch pans from the top rack to the bottom rack. One of the features of the oven when I got it was that it would hold sheet pans. Of course, the only other thing I can think of that I ustta use sheet pans for was shortbread.

My most favorite recipe for Chex Mix is the one that's the very first Recipe in the Betty Crocker Cookbook. It's called Crunchy Party Mix in my edition, and it includes the most important ingredient - Worcestershire sauce.
