There was a nice piece I caught on NPR yesterday on the way to work from the brother of Ronald Ervin McNair, who talked about a librarian calling the police when the two of them were at a library trying to check out books. (I'm going to make a wild guess that this was somewhere in the South.) The only thing odd about the story was that when the police got to the library and the librarian explained the issue, the police said to let the kid check out the books. No follow up to hear what the librarian thought when he got turned into fireworks in the morning sky.
