I shan't chastise -- frankly, I've never been able to distinguish, reliably, between frozen and fresh Thanksgiving Fowl (aka turkey, which I assume you're dealing with) -- the only thing that seems to matter is _how_ it's cooked (and turns out). Mind you, my most drastic memories of The Thanksgiving Feast tend to center on going up to Uncle George's & Aunt Peggy's Farm (near Adrian, Michigan), where a turkey shared honors with some ducks & pheasants (watch out for the birdshot!) and a haunch of venison.

(I expect to be at LosCon over Thanksgiving & the following weekend, but will probably get -- and cook, and eat most of -- a frozen turkey well before that. Not that I'm extremely fond of turkey, but it's often sold as a loss-leader, and depression-era childhood Thrift tends to kick in.)
