Apr. 2nd, 2003 05:11 pmThong's family farm, he clarified today, is 200 miles from Saigon. He hopes to dump his baby brother (the pseudo-child - Thi) there. I'm not sure it will work at all.
Thi appeared at the house early this morning to check out which camera he wanted Thong to bring. I've got a camcorder, and Thong has two other cameras. Thi liked the Canon, at least until he heard how much Compact Flash cards cost. I left for work amongst a sing-song rumble of Vietnamese.

Date: 2003-04-02 07:42 pm (UTC)At some point after Thong moved in here, we rescued Thi and his closet of designer clothes from a house on Nicollet.
He lived here for the last few years of high school and off and on when he was in college. It involved driving him to school and the like. Close to having an actual child, but with the freedom to boot him out onto the streets of our fair cities if things got too tense.
