Dec. 29th, 2024 04:08 pmMy sister and her friend were in town from Fargo/Morehead and today I made Liege waffles. First time using the Aldi double Belgian waffle iron, and it worked like a charm. I think my yeast may be past its expiry date, but they tasted fine. There may have been some caramel flying around, but the smell never reached charcoal. We had Neuske bacon, whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, and incredibly sweet blackberries from Aldi with them. I have this as yet untested theory that it will be easier to clean the flipper than my regular waffle iron. Time will tell.
