Kingfield, Fulton and Nokomis Farmers Markets
Kingfield, Fulton and Nokomis Farmers Markets are operated by Neighborhood Roots, a South Minneapolis nonprofit. Each market has a separate summer location, but they band together at Bachman’s Garden Center for monthly markets in winter. Perks include live music from Bob & Lynn Dixon and One Ukelele, and fresh beer on tap from Fulton Brewing Company.

When: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of January (24), February (28) and March (28)
What’s There: Fresh produce (such as apples, winter squash, carrots, onions, and potatoes) and meat available from Red Table Meat Company, Star Thrower Farms, Davidson’s Farm, Veseli Vrsek Orchard, Gardens of Eagan, Wise Acre Eatery's Tangletown Farm and Waxwing Farm. Prepared foods and crafts fromChef Shack, Dumpling Minneapolis, Taco Taxi, Bogart's Doughnuts, Patisserie 46, Sun Street Breads.

When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. January 10 and 24, February 7 and 21, March 7 and 21, April 4 and 11
What’s There: Fresh pork, beef, poultry and eggs available from various farmstead vendors, including Alemar Cheese Company, Eichten’s Hidden Acres, Scenic Waters Wild Rice. Prepared foods available from Great Harvest, Mrs. Kelly’s Tea, Deena’s Gourmet.

Mill City Farmers Market
Where: Mill City Museum, 704 S. 2nd St., Minneapolis
When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month through April 11. Special March 7 session at the U of M Arboretum in Chanhassen.
What’s There: Fresh meat and produce from Star Thrower Farm, Prairie Hollow Farm (produce, bread and cheese), Brauchers' Sunshine Harvest Farm, Singing Hills Goat Dairy, Shepherd's Way Farm, Mhonpaj's Garden, Women's Environmental Institute, Page & Flowers, Stone’s Throw Urban Farm. Where: Sunnyside Gardens/Linden Hills Food Coop, 3723 W. 44th Ave., Minneapolis
When: Linden Hills saw big crowds for its first-ever holiday season. It hasn’t yet announced its hours for the second half of winter, but pop-up markets are planned. Check the website or call for the latest schedule.
