Three members of Minnesota's delegation, U.S. Reps. Keith Ellison, Rick Nolan and Tim Walz, were among 41 no votes on the bill. The measure passed with 361 aye votes, including the votes of the state's other five House members. U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken supported the Senate version of the bill. Moar

The Democrats have lost on sequestration

Cuts to programs used by the politically powerful will be addressed, but cuts to programs that affects the politically powerless will persist. It’s worth saying this clearly: The pain of sequestration will be concentrated on those who lack political power.
