Closing Early
Apr. 18th, 2013 08:46 pmApparently Mpls is inside to weather the snow. I've been seen Closing Early notices from museums and restaurants all afternoon and evening flowing past on Twitter.
Driving home from work was better and worse than I thought. I usually take the 31/Lake Street exit, but traffic was backed up around 46th, so I went to Grant, down to LaSalle, and back on Blaisdell. Not sure I saved any time driving across the edge of downtown, but it was not stop and go for 16 blocks.
Temperature has been hovering around freezing, so there was some ice build up and lots of slush. A bus went passed me, and the slush turned the windshield to solid, impenetrable white.
Now it's windy. It's going to be a fun commute in the morning.
