Basil Twist, 41, is a third-generation puppeteer who spends roughly half the year on the road and the other half in Greenwich Village, where he lives and works. He runs the Dream Music Puppetry Program at the Here Arts Center downtown, which presents his work and that of others. On Broadway, some of his most recent creations include puppets for “The Pee-wee Herman Show” and for the musical For Mr. Twist, Sunday is often a work day, or a day to unpack. —ISOLDE RAFTERY More
