We elect a president and people start contorting their bodies to music like a bunch of damned Canadians.

If the entire state of Minnesota can count all of the absentee ballots at the precinct on election day, is there some reason why other states can't? Do we need to start sending ethnic Scandinavians and Germans out to other states to help them clean up their elections? Or is there Just No Hope? If you're going to send Spanish translators to a polling place, make sure they can speak Spanish. (Or don't send them to a polling place with a bi-lingual Chair Judge.) Better yet, if you want to help out at the polling places, volunteer as an Election Judge. Poll Challengers are a different order of business -- they get to challenge voters from personal knowledge to prevent that "voter fraud" that Repugs are so worried about, not help out around the polls.
