Getting Iraq Wrong
By MICHAEL IGNATIEFF

"Procrastination is even costlier in politics than it is in private life. The sign on Truman’s desk — “The buck stops here!” — reminds us that those who make good judgments in politics tend to be those who do not shrink from the responsibility of making them. In the case of Iraq, deciding what course of action to pursue next requires first admitting that all courses of action thus far have failed." http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/05/magazine/05iraq-t.html?_r=1&oref=slogin&pagewanted=print

Lottsa interesting comments on decision making, judgement, politicians, academics, reality, and wishful thinking.

I've boxes and boxes of computer junk in the closet. Somehow, the Video camera's A/V cable got separated and into one of the boxes. It's a miracle, but I found it. New wedding to film in Viet Nam. Much packing and filling of suitcases.
