Yesterday, I made it though the Mimbari defense of the B5 station. It's not quite as spectacular as I remembered, but it's still damned good. The ramming sequence, which I liked when I watched the series mumble years ago, seemed weaker. Those ships are huge and they would be slow to move, and a ramming sequence seems slightly unlikely. The shifting of Sheridan to Independence also seems thinner than I remember. It could be that watching the series continuously has changed my viewpoint. It seemed so right in the original.
I was a bit shocked at how closely some of the political statements seem to mirror current republican ideas. The one visit from the "Political Officer" seemed like a satire of a republican woman.
