Can't Sleep? Change Towns, Not Sheets

AWAKE IN AMERICA Detroit is the worst city for a good night's sleep, a survey finds, and Minneapolis is best.

IS downtown Detroit industrial America's answer to the Roman Forum, a haunting necropolis of ruins of the industrial age? Or is it an urban comeback in the making, the Boston Red Sox of American cities?

I put a pedistal sink in upstairs upstairs. Thong's not impressed. It cost $30 and there's water. Enough for now.

I've banker's boxes in my office closet. Four so far, filled with SCSI cables, IDE cables, floppy cables, old sound cards, old, old, old. All I have to do is put together a list of what's inside and tape it to the boxes. It's scary really.

Next, the workroom in the basement. Thong's still mad that I took down the pegboard he'd put up (without spacing it away from the wall).

I saw a swedish couch at the antiques place that looked intriguing. Also, a bunch of rosewood. I'm a sucker for rosewood. But, I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay like actual money for the couch. The quest for a gateleg table continues.
