In the Midwest, a Sweet Tooth Is Nonpartisan
By R. W. APPLE Jr.

CHICAGO

"IT must be inborn. Show me a Midwesterner, and I'll show you someone with an incurable sweet tooth. A son of Ohio, I'm as bad as the next guy — worse, if you believe my dessert-averse wife, Betsey, who is made of sterner Southern stuff."

The new router from Qworst is waiting at home. I also have to reinstall some software to manage the raid. I put the new drive in the computer last night, but didn’t realize I needed their software to rebuild the raid. I thought the card would do it all by itself. (Well, it might have if I set it up right.)

Last night, when I put in the drive, I was going to use the finger touch test to figure out which drive was down. It didn’t work. They were all too cool.

I did blow clouds of dust out of the computer. And I rinsed off the filter.

And my autumn crocuses seem to be vanishing… I’d wonder why, but the picked stems are still there…
