Japanese cream puffs roll on, with the opening of Choux (pronounced shoo) Factory, 865 First Avenue (48th Street). The puffs at this independent shop have fillings in several flavors, the best of which is the milk chocolate.
Beard Papa, a chain with hundreds of cream puff stores in Japan, will open a second New York location, at 740 Broadway (Astor Place), on Friday."
