Jun. 8th, 2004 04:57 amI woke up in the middle of the night and have not gotten back to sleep. Soon it will be time to trudge off to work.
I must decide whether to hire the plumber that estimated replacing the lead pipe in the bathroom. I must also purchase a drain and supply line for the tub. I'm probably going to go for it. Tired of no bathroom on the second floor.
Thong ran out and bought beadboard for the third floor bathroom. It's mostly up. Now he's trying to find a table saw to trim a few pieces. It's close to done up there. Have to put up the miles of track lighting I got, switches (I just ran out to Menards last night to buy switches and I should have gotten two more...)
Going to Menards was complicated by road work. Yes, I know it's Minnesota, summer, and the season of road work. But 394? When I just want some light switches?
On the way back, there were four cars in an accident just before I got to Lyndale in front of Dunwoody. And a fire truck came running down Hennepin, crossed over to my lane, and stopped by an SUV that had attacked a street light instead of the car in front of it. There was a police car tearing down Hennepin and an ambulance as well. People were standing around. I'm still amazed that four cars managed to tangle at that corner.
