Jun. 22nd, 2003 06:02 amThe master plan was to catch a Hulk matinee. Master plan failed.
I started Saturday out by getting up around 5:00 a.m. so that I could be at Carol's by 6:30 to help set up the MNSTF garage sale. I made it, and saw Bill drive up just as I got there. Spent part of the morning setting it up, then waited for customers, and waited, and waited, and waited. We didn't get much foot traffic. There was a block sale a few blocks away, but it just did not get much traffic to us. More signs might have helped, of Carol's quiet street (on Colfax between 33 & 34, may just be a curse.
Around 9:00 or so, I ran off to visit my aunt and deliver her laundry. I stayed at Jones-Harrison until close to eleven. She had a full day planned. Her former neighbor was renting a handicapped van to drive her to the airport to meet a friend from San Diego. Then, they were going to drive down to Red Wing and eat at the St. James. She's having trouble holding her head up and some difficulty breathing.
We packed up the garage sale and moved to over to Laura Jean's. We're going to try again this coming Saturday. She lives on Bloomington, which is a busier street. It's also in less affluent neighborhood.
After moving everything to Laura's, I ran home and showered, and ran off to the MNSTF meeting at Polly and Sybil's in north Minneapolis. Laura and I walked Doug to the bus stop, which was a few blocks from Polly's house. While we waited and waited for the bus, we got questioned by the police: "What are you doing?" "Waiting for a bus." "Where do you live?" "South Minneapolis."
I came home around 10:00, tired, but only mildly sunburned.
