It's Thursday and yet again I'm working on training material at work for which I have no software. The software sits in India and may or may not work. This emergency mode has become standard. I'm working on the parts around the hole, but I still want a few pretty pictures to paste in of how the hole's supposed to look and the damage it's done to the menu structure. Being able to get to an application always seems like a nice thing to tell people who are going to have to use the product.

Ripped off from the New York Times:

This month, the Viking Range Corporation of Greenwood, Miss., is shipping its new 24-inch-wide gas range to cities where people live in small spaces, like New York, Chicago and St. Louis, said Dale Persons, a spokesman for the company. The 24-inch range - which has four burners, a convection oven and an infrared broiler - starts at $2,700 for stainless steel and goes to $3,200, depending on color and trim. A range hood is $650 to $800. In New York, the new Viking range is available at Bloom & Krup, 504 East 14th Street, (212)673-2760; for other stores: www.vikingrange.com or (888)845-4641.
