Found some wheeled open filing cabinets at Elements in Roseville yesterday. I've been looking for something that I could slide under the shelves in my office. They're white and boring, but the exciting part is they're marked down to $14.95. I bought three, and moved a bunch of the MNSTF filing stuff into the one I got together yesterday, well almost got together. I need to bring in the half-inch drill to tighten the screws up a bit. I need to move a shelf and put the other two together tonight. And label the folders...

I put the other two together this morning, except the screws are really loose. Still need to drag up the big drill and crank them down.

The hard drive hunt continues. Hmm, Ubid.com has up to the Maxtor 60 gig, which they're willing to sell outright around $61.

If I am doing my math right,

4 X 60 = 240 * 2/3 = 160.  4 X $61 = $244 / 160 = $1.52

4 X 80 = 320 X 2/3 = 213.  4 X $118 = $472 / 213 = $2.22

I think you "lose" 1/3 of the space in a Cat 5 RAID. Hmm, makes those 60 gig drives look very attractive...

Eek! I was trying to reconcile my bank account this morning and realized I've not done August. And I can't find it. Guess I'm just going to have to shovel out the office. Two computers, two monitors, two keyboards. Duckie box. Minicon flyers. Various other flyers. CDs stacked all over the place. Binders on top of chairs. Three new white filing rack thingies. Old computer programming books that are not being used.

The pseudo-child was over this morning trying to hock his Rolex. Thong's talking about high-tailing it to Chicago. Apparently the watch has been getting handed back and forth quite a bit as collateral in loans. (Loans to the pseudo-child are usually similar to give-aways, and I'd have more sympathy with his financial condition if he wasn't all clothed in designer clothes...)
