Disconnected the second phone line. It tends to take them both out. Have to see if I can find where it shorts out. Grump. Great cast at the musical last night. Wish the lyrics had been better.
My videos from the graduation are waay too dark. Saved them as DVD quality MPEGs and not only are they waay too dark, but they're waay too big to put on a CD. Grump.

Hmm, could not post this yesterday or today...

Bloggers Declare War!

Well, war bloggers anyway. Details in today's NY Times.

Article on North Dakota trying to rescind the federal government's regulations to allow banks and credit unions to sell your contact information to marketers. Apparently the banks think it will increase the isolation. Strange no one thinks that way about Illinois... Details in today's NY Times. 'Case you never guessed, I wuz born there long time ago on a farm in the dry flat-land prairies.

Also a big article on how all of the House and Senate attempts at shoring up corporate regulation after Enron has been scuttled. "A powerful group of lobbyists, playing on partisan disagreement in Congress, appears to have killed efforts to impose tight new controls on corporate conduct."

"'The feeding frenzy is pretty much over,' said Senator Phil Gramm of Texas, the ranking Republican on the banking committee, who has worked closely with industry lobbyists to kill many of the Democrats' proposals. 'People started looking at making all these radical changes and decided there was a real cost involved and that it would not solve the Enron problem.'" -- now somebody pinch me, but wasn't his wife on the board of Enron, finally bailing out on June 6th?

Almost done with packing up registration packets for the people who did not show at Minicon. I was faster last year. Ran out of BBTs, so I had to ask Jeff for more. Should mail out what I've assembled so far.

My brother, after three weeks in a hospital in Memphis, still isn't much better. It seems very strange that they can't come up with a diagnosis.

I've reorged my website. Anyway, my daily ramblings which are frequently copied over to LiveJournal are available here in my archives where I'm going to do the writing. (Except for those postings I just gotta do from work.) As a result, my site will be slower to load.

Hmm, can they impeach the Attorney General?

They arrested the guy on May 8, and have held him in limbo since then. I guess you just gotta wonder why they announced it today. Politics?

Almost one week at work with Outlook before the first virus strike. Very Funny.vbs. Of course, one programmer and a few other people had to click on it to see what was so funny. The server is being scanned even as I write. I'm slightly surprised Norton didn't catch it, but it didn't. Meanwhile, no server, and no e-mail. I'm gonna die without e-mail.
