Some sorta Irish high holy day isn't it? Green beer flowing like water in the streets and sewers of St. Paul? Irish band gigs. Boiled in Lead?

Dropped my aunt's friend from California off at the airport this morning.

Most excellent MNSTF meeting last night at Carol's. I got there after visiting my aunt, who's recovering from surgery. I keep asking her how long before she'll be able to tap dance, and she always comes back with the
same answer, "The surgeon said that if I couldn't tap dance before the operation, I probably wouldn't be able to after the operation."

I was having basic communication problems yesterday at the MNSTF meeting. People were asking me questions about registration which I'd been broadcasting messages about all week to people who apparently don't bother to actually read their e-mail, asking questions that we'd discussed at the last concom meeting, and generally reinventing the wheel after the car had left the building.

Then, over dinner with friends, I was lectured on the purpose of Minicon and how it's seen by the Board. (I'm on the Board and I'm co-chair of Minicon 38.) Everybody apparently assumes that a couple of quick rule changes will bring us back to the halcyon days of the old High Minicon, ignoring the fact that we're several years away and a few thousand fans short of that questionable goal. Where is that magic wand I ustta have?
