Interesting article on how the
airlines industry worked their wiles on congress in today's
New York Times.
Seems corporate welfare is quite all right just as long as it does not extend
down to the workers--that would be socialism and we just can't have that.
Also, an interesting article link to aggression by one of

Interesting take on aggression: herders vs. farmers.  And where I grew
up, we always divided the herders between the sheep herders and the cattle
herders, at least in the Hollywood version Saturday matinee movie. I think
we've got one of them cattle herders in as our figure head.

Really well done novella in the December Asimov's, deck.halls@boughs/holly by Connie Willis, it's funny and even has some Shakespeare in it. What more could you want?
