Kitchen or Indignity to Fowl Night
Nov. 11th, 2009 11:52 pmTonight:
First: Grilled quail with pomegranate molasses horseradish glaze eaten around the stove
Second: Mixed greens salad (No fowl, sigh...) eaten at the dining table
Third: Whirled chicken, boiled baby potatoes, sautéed asparagus spears with garlic and sweet peppers -- first foray of the rotisserie, and it worked well.
Fourth: Chocolate soufflé with whipped cream and meringues
Fifth: Assorted spoiled milk products with bread, water crackers, and fruit
I have to note that some (who shall remain nameless) were starting to flag by the fifth course, even if one (who shall remain nameless) threw himself on 2.25 chocolate souffles. Sadly, no matter how small a wedge of cheese I was able to purchase, not all of it got eaten.
