Your comment on that resonates with me. OTOH, I can't strongly disagree with the tried-and-true meeting chairmanship/Rules of Order technique of letting people go on until just about everyone is sick & tired of them before taking action to squelch them, and I'm not absolutely positive that the Dem. Leadership has been off (on the slow side) in their timing. (On the gripping hand, it sure seems that they don't understand the essentials of bargaining -- they should've started by asking for a _lot_ more than they expected (or even hoped) to get -- impeachment, NHS-style healthcare, &cet. -- and worked their way down from there.)
