EYEBROW cocked, Baron Ambrosia burst through the door of Xochimilco, a bright family-run Mexican restaurant in the South Bronx. He sniffed the air exaggeratedly — was that a cemita de milanesa he smelled? — nodded and stepped in, the silver ornamentation on his vintage mariachi suit glinting in the light.
