i had thought entirely obvious, if you've been to wiscon and know the hotel. since it's listed as a room with panels in on the program schedule and grid.

Nope, never been to Wiscon, nor in the hotel, nor seen the program schedule. Been to LOTS AND LOTS of cons where room parties are in sleeping rooms, and darned few where room parties are in function space.

Assuming I know how Wiscon party rooms fuction because they've always functioned that way is an invalid assumption.

Assuming I'm too lazy to check the website to see how Wiscon party rooms function is quite likely a correct assumptio. Or that I checked once last June....
