I'm at a loss to explain Mr. Cheney's desire for a Presidential Pardon for Mr. Libby -- such a Pardon would, according to some legal experts, preclude Mr. Libby from citing the 5th amendment and refusing to testify if brought to trial. I rather think that such testimony, given under penalty of perjury, would be, at the very least, embarrassing for Mr. Cheney. Usually (IMHO) Mr. Cheney seems to be better as such chicanery than Mr. Bush, so it may be that Mr. Libby's orders came directly from the President..

Wow, I got to the point where cheney was whining about, "The most cruel and foul injustice," and just bailed. If irony could be killed, that'd do it. How I hate that man.
