Raining again. Hot and humid. Feels like the big easy. It's going to be mosquito heaven around here in a few days. Pouring again this morning out there. Nice thunder and lightening.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the mailing party. And to Andrew and David who did all the work before the party.

I'm just back from the airport run with Bruce. Storm sewers are backed up everywhere, there's deep puddles on every low street. The cats were out and came streaking in quite wet and are bitter about it. I dried the cats, then the windowsills. No water in the basement so far. (That can't last.)

Maybe I can get Susan to run over and look at the falls in a bit.

K. [with me, that is]

It must be roaring like crazy. I noticed high water above the falls in the creek when I drove out to work on Cedar. (35W was backed up.) When I saw all the water along Cedar, I was wondering about you. Hope it stays dry. (I sympathize with the cats.)

I got caught wandering into the building in the rain - and dried off slowly in my cube - so I have lots of sympathy for cats and other creatures out and about.

I wish I could send some of the water off to Colorado, though. My sister and mother (and my relatives in Arizona and New Mexico) are praying for rain.
