NW doesn't fly to CDG or ORY already? How surprising.

I don't think so...

It says, "Our new nonstop service to Paris will bring a smile to everyone's face." I don't think those bright advertising types would come up with such slick copy if'n they already had nonstop flights. On the otherhand, it is NorthWorst...

MSP to CDG

This explains much (like B flying AA...)

On Yet Another List, three or four people challenged me about my assertion that powerports are common on airplanes. All of them flew NW as their first airline.

NW: They still fly four planes that are older than I am (DC9-10s)

(edit: Oops, not logged in. Sorry...)

(edit #2) Figured it would be CDG -- not many fly to Orly anymore (No Wai!)

A certain friend we both know moves to Boulder, and starts flying UA. After three weeks, he emails and says "I didn't know FAs were supposed to be nice to you!"

So, I flew NW MSP-AMS on Sunday. They harassed me for checking in 50 minutes before my flight, seat power didn't work at my seat, there were no meal menus, and the food was awful. And that's in Business Class.

On the other hand, it was a direct flight to Amsterdam: instead of having to change planes in Chicago and again in London. And no annoying London luggage restrictions.

It's a tough call....

My last ORD-LHR on AA had no menus -- but the FAs apologized profusely about that, it was a catering screwup (turns out they'd gotten menus for the Narita flight -- presumably, a similar speech was given to the Narita pax.) We had menus on the way back.

Changing ORD and LHR in the same flight is, I think, a violation of basic human rights. AA is getting better routes, and the new runways should help ORD drastically, but you're still looking at an extra 4-6 hours unless AA picks up Amsterdam.

And, of course, you know it'll be a 76, not a Trip.
