There's only 922 GB free on my RAID drive...

I just replaced the old 30 GB PATA (probably 66) with a 500 GB PATA 100, using the Seagate software to clone the drive from 29 GB to 465. Slick, smooth, and fast. 1.825 TB on this computer. I just hope I don't hafta back it up, or I'm sunk.

That's what you get for storing video. Text is so much more compact.

Today, just today, I held, in my hand, a 1TB drive. This meant something to me (I'd worked with TBs for years, mind you -- but those were arrays, not one single drive) because it brought to mind the first time I'd held a 10MB, 100MB, 1GB, 10GB and 100 (well, 120GB) drive in my hand.

I expect to hold a 10TB drive in 2011. I'm really, to be honest, quite scared to think about how much storage I'll be able to hold in my hand before I die.

Yes but...

Even if you flip it really fast, it just doesn't look the same.
