I plowed my way into the garage today after a wonderful brunch at Drewan and Rvrjoe775's this morning. I plowed out of the garage to run down town for the theater, and then back again after I did some shopping and got gas for the blower. Four-wheel drive is too much fun.

True enough. That does help stopping as well as starting.

I've never had snow tires on any of my cars, in fact (though they've all been front-wheel-drive, and I run to all-season radials at least). I figure if I can get out of the alley I'm good enough to drive in public :-).

The experts all recommend the four show tires, but this is the first car I've had them on for a long time. (The NoDak studded tires just didn't work out down here...) Of course, high performance tires just don't cut it on ice.
