Actually bowled last night at Miss Laura Jean Fish's birthday bowling party. She does throw a wicked party, and I had a great time.

Spent the morning finishing up shopping, making pates, chopping vegies and getting ready for the Minicon meeting followed by a MNSTF meeting. I'd not quite gauged the amount of people it would bring over early. My shopping ran a bit short. They ate all the carrots (shock!), celery, and cucumbers I bought. Hell, they even ate the green onions I put out. (Usually I buy a lot more veggies, they don't eat much of them, and I'm trying to get rid of chopped up vegies for days.) Ran out of the liver pate first, I think, although it was neck and neck with the broad bean pate. The milded hot Ajar spread, french onion and dill dip were the only survivors. Geri and Rachael both brought big chunks of cheese, which vanished. My bread vanished too quickly, but Peer brought a few loaves. They vanished around 10. I guess I coulda gone an gotten some more French Meadow bread, but it always seems I've got a loaf or two left over. Never thought they'd eat it all.

David brought a big cake for Miss Laura Jean Fish's birthday, and I'd gotten two angel food loaves and a bunch of strawberries and whipping cream. Drat, I thought I'm gonna have a quart of whipping cream, two boxes of strawberries and two loaves left, but they ate the David's cake, the angel food cake, the strawberries, and most of the whipping cream.

If I had realized, in advance, that I might cause you to end up with leftover whipped cream, and strawberries, and angel food, I'd have still brought the birthday cake.

I'm glad it turned out well.

And thanks for hosting another great MnStf meeting.

Both cakes, I think, were much appreciated. Or at the very least, consumed.
