"In the United States, silversmithing history begins with Robert Sanderson, originally of London, who came to Boston in the 17th century and formed a partnership with John Hull. Although their work is still admired for its simplicity and grace, they were overshadowed in American folklore by a silversmith who followed them, Paul Revere."
