Note to the local politicos
If you're going to send Spanish translators to a polling place, make sure they can speak Spanish. (Or don't send them to a polling place with a bi-lingual Chair Judge.) Better yet, if you want to help out at the polling places, volunteer as an Election Judge. Poll Challengers are a different order of business -- they get to challenge voters from personal knowledge to prevent that "voter fraud" that Repugs are so worried about, not help out around the polls.

If you are under the impression that there is no need for Spanish translators in The Great White North, let me disabuse you of this mistaken notion now.
I can't speak for other polling locations, but the one I work at had materials in four languages other than English, one of them being Spanish (we also had materials in Hmong, Somali, and Vietnamese, IIRC).

I wonder about the nonliterate Somalis. I suppose their kids sat down and taught them the letters. Vote for the one that starts with the O.
