Dog Days of the Empire
The Democrats are caving. It must be the effect of the Dog Star and the lies of the Bush administration. There's no there there. More blood, more treasure. Another four years, another few trillion dollars, a couple thousand grunts.

It's a nice idea
We've evolved into a system for funneling money to the rich. The elctions provide vast bushel baskets of cash for the conservative media owners. If you contribute money to candidates, it ends up in the pockets of the people you don't really support.
It's all about the money, and it's all going down.
Re: It's a nice idea
There is nothing to stop an independent from running.
As there is nothing to stop a third party candidate.
The only thing that truly does stop them is fear.
Propagated by one of the two main parties.
The fear that the other bad party will get in if you vote for a third choice.
The bill of goods that tells you that you are waisting your vote if you don't vote for their party.
There are mice and rats in this country.
The mice scurry and run in fear from everything.
The rats rear up and spit in your eye.
Me, I'm a rat from now on.
And my vote is not wasted.
Because I know that if there are enough rats in this country we will eventually take over and force change.
Hilarity and Back room are not acceptable for me but the media is cramming them down our throats. No, not this time.
You wanna be pushed by fear, it's your right as a citizen.
Me, I'm looking for the better way.

Re: It's a nice idea
Just as I understand that if the right to vote supports the two parties and alternatives begin to chisel away at their foundations one of two things will happen.
1)They will fall because of a weakened structure or
2)The will work in concert to abolish the right of citizens to a democratically elected alternative.
I like either one.
But the first would be preferable to the second.
However, with the second it moves us further towards balkanization (something this country has needed to acknowledge is it's natural, if unacknowledged state for many years).
singing you this song now is cause you may know somebody in a similar
situation, or you may be in a similar situation, and if your in a
situation like that there's only one thing you can do and that's walk into
the shrink wherever you are ,just walk in say "Shrink, You can get
anything you want, at Alice's restaurant.". And walk out. You know, if
one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and
they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.
And that's what it is , the Alice's Restaurant Anti-Massacre Movement, and
all you got to do to join is sing it the next time it come's around on the
guitar.
